When the temperature climbs, your wardrobe narrows down fast. The heavy layers go to the back of the closet, and you find yourself reaching for the same one or two pieces that keep you cool and still look put-together. For most of our customers, that piece is sleeveless — and it comes in two shapes worth knowing the difference between: the shell and the tank.
Here's how to choose the best sleeveless top for your summer.
The shell: more coverage, more polish
A shell has a wider strap and a higher neckline — often a boat-neck — so it covers more of the shoulder and sits closer to the collarbone. That extra coverage is what makes it feel finished. You can wear a shell on its own to lunch or dinner and look completely dressed, and it's the better base for layering under a blazer or cardigan when the evening cools off or the restaurant runs cold.
Our Christina shell is the one women reach for when they want "sleeveless" without feeling bare. It's the polished end of the sleeveless family.
Choose a shell if you want more coverage up top, plan to layer, or want one sleeveless piece that works on its own anywhere.

The tank: cooler, barer, easy
A tank cuts a little narrower at the shoulder and often drops into a soft V, like our Tracey. It's the cooler, lighter option — more skin, more air, and a neckline that quietly lengthens your frame. On the hottest days, or under an open shirt, or with your favorite summer trousers, the tank is the effortless choice.
Choose a tank if you run warm, want the lightest possible layer, or love a V-neck's flattering line.

What both should always have
Whichever shape you choose, two things separate a summer top you love from one you tolerate. The first is sun protection. Ours is built in — UPF 50 woven into the fabric, not sprayed on top, so it doesn't wash out over a season of wear. On a boat deck or a walking tour, that matters more than people expect.
The second is fabric that behaves. Our sleeveless tops are cut from the same wrinkle-free microfiber as the rest of the line, so they pack flat, never need an iron, and hold their shape all day. Made in the USA, in sizes XS–3X, cut for real bodies at every age.
Most women, in the end, keep one of each — the shell for polish, the tank for the hottest days. Together they carry you through the whole summer.
