How to wear a tunic with leggings, in three rules

Cover the seat

The hem should land between the bottom of your seat and mid-thigh. Shorter reads as a top; longer starts to read as a dress.

Slim below, easy above

Leggings are fitted, so the tunic should skim, not cling. A little room through the waist and hip keeps the line long and relaxed.

Finish it

A pointed flat or loafer, a long necklace or a light jacket turns the same outfit from weekend into lunch, office or travel day.
